摘要: Ureteral stents are indispensable tools in urologic practice. The main complications associated with ureteral dislocation, infection, pain and encrustation. Biodegradable one of the most attractive designs potential to eliminate several stenting procedure. In this work we hypothesize impregnation ketoprofen, by CO2-impregnation a patented biodegradable stent previously developed our group. each formulation: alginate-based, gellan gum-based were impregnated ketoprofen conditions tested 100 bar, 2 h three different temperatures (35 °C, 40 °C 50 °C). was confirmed FTIR DSC demonstrated amorphization drug upon impregnation. vitro elution profile artificial urine solution (AUS) during degradation loaded evaluated. According kinetics results these systems have shown be very promising for release first 72 h, which is necessary time anti-inflammatory delivery after surgical studied revealed an influence temperature on yield, higher yield at °C. Higher yields also obtained stents. non-cytotoxicity characteristic ketoprofen-eluting evaluated L929 cell line MTS assay feasibility product as medical device.
