摘要: Publisher Summary The highest concentrations of dopamine transporters (DATs) are found in the basal ganglia, corresponding to amount (DA) nerve terminals this brain region. Numerous studies demonstrating parallel losses DA levels and DAT after lesions nigrostriatal neurons suggest that density is an excellent marker structural integrity dopaminergic system. In vivo imaging has been performed mainly patients with Parkinson's disease demonstrate marked loss disorder. However, positron emission tomography (PET) single photon computed (SPECT) have shown be useful various other neurodegenerative disorders, including Lesch-Nyhan (LND), Rett syndrome, Tourette's stimulant abuse, progressive supranuclear palsy. A reduction striatal densities reported methamphetamine treated animals. baboon treatment, a dose-related occurs. These followed by postmortem analysis neurochemical parameters. recent years, synthetic amphetamine analogue methcathinone (2-methylamino-1-phenylpropanone, ephedrone, “Cat”) emerged as recreational drug abuse. animals, methcathinone, like methamphetamine, produces toxic effects on serotonin neurons. Moreover, human subjects history abuse decline well.
