摘要: PURPOSE To report the cosmetic and functional outcomes of subciliary incision for external dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR). METHODS Prospective interventional study reporting to perform DCR primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction. Successful outcome was defined as relief from epiphora, patent lacrimal irrigation. Final scar evaluated by subjective grading patient, objective physician using high-resolution digital photographs. RESULTS Seventeen eyes 16 patients (4 males) with a mean age 41.75 years (range, 26-71) underwent approach over period 22 months (March 2010 December 2011). Pre-operative diagnosis obstruction in all cases. Anatomic success noted 17 (100%) eyes. At final follow up, reported 47% scars be invisible (grade 0), 88.2% or minimally visible 0-1). patient 88% 100% In 2 (11.7%) cases, moderately 2). Average up after surgery 29 weeks 6-72 weeks). (first cases), extended medially mm. No other related complications were noted. CONCLUSIONS Subciliary provides an excellent while retaining access advantages procedure.
