摘要: A method to calculate electrical losses and a heat transfer model of conventional Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) are presented. The application novel power theory for the EAF was used compute it compared with calculations. variables were as input parameters proposed model. Chemical energy sources included inputs estimate overall transferred including in cooling system. In furnace divided 11 inner surfaces radiation view factors between them estimated by commercial finite element software. Variations different arc coverage evaluated. Different scenarios panels losses, respect thickness slag layers adhered system panels, analyzed. approach presented this work allows calculation balances furnaces low computational resources. Finally, contribution research is define framework further oriented improve both thermal efficiencies increase productivity reduce consumption steel plants.
