摘要: Almost 50% of trauma-related fatalities within the first 24 hours injury are related to hemorrhage. Improved survival in severely injured patients has been demonstrated when massive transfusion protocols rapidly invoked as part a therapeutic approach known damage control resuscitation (DCR). DCR incorporates early use plasma prevent or correct trauma-induced coagulopathy. often requires before determination recipient's ABO group. Historically, group AB considered "universal donor" product. At our facility, number products produced on an annual basis was found be inadequate support trauma service's program. A joint decision made by medicine and services provide thawed (TP) for in-hospital prehospital protocols. description implementation TP into program is provided well outcome data pertaining patients.
