摘要: . The biosynthesis of collagen molecules and their subsequent assembly into fibers involves a complex series post-ribosomal modifications which occur intracellularly extracellularly. Some these subtle alterations lead to the formation intramolecular intermolecular cross-links, whereas others seem dictate 3-dimensional organization fibers. For normal function, tissues require an optimum amount proteoglycans. Such balance coupled with specificity built seems assure adequate function. Changes in rates synthesis, turnover or transcription genetic information affect type deposited at particular site may lo stale disease. It is hoped that our current understanding such mechanisms, ability inhibit accelerate some processes, will allow us effectively control metabolism connective tissues.
