摘要: To investigate how insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) modulates cardiovascular function and myocardial apoptosis in heart failure, the therapeutic effects of IGF-I were determined a canine model dilated cardiomyopathy. The animals paced at 220 beats/min, left ventricular (LV) chamber became after 2 weeks. A subset dogs was treated with sc injections from week 3 to 4. After 4 weeks pacing, untreated developed significant dysfunction. IGF-I-treated showed better cardiac output, stroke volume, LV end-systolic pressure, end-diastolic pressure. Moreover, pulmonary wedge pressure systemic vascular resistance increased group decreased group. treatment associated less thinning wall.
