摘要: Development of the vertebrate skeleton is a complex process involving genes that control series cellular events such as proliferation, migration, mesenchymal condensations and eventually differentiation into osteoblasts chondrocytes1. For osteoblast differentiation, an intricate highly regulated interplay growth factors, receptors/co-receptors, specific extracellular milieu transcription factors required2. Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), members transforming factor-beta (TGF- ) superfamily, are multifunctional critically involved in differentiation. The BMP functions exerted through their interaction with cell surface receptors, type I II leading to regulation target genes. signaling at numerous steps extracellular, intracellular levels3, 4.
