摘要: Abstract The effects of temperature and other variables on the kinetics solid-metal-induced embrittlement (SMIE) an aluminium alloy 7075-T651 by indium were studied, data obtained compared with published for materials embrittling elements. Analysis indicated that rates cracking controlled transport elements to crack tips a surface diffusion process. this process approximately same different substrates at homologous temperatures T/T m , where T is testing melting element in kelvins. Metallographic fractographic observations SMIE 7075, high strength steels titanium alloys are also described, mechanism involving adsorption-induced localized-slip outlined. Some which suggest AlLi-based associated due impurities within briefly discussed.
