摘要: This study evaluated the effects of naltrexone treatment for adults with mental retardation and self-injury across, a selection dose levels, target behaviors, subjects phase durations. Statistical analysis group results revealed significant reduction in rate during treatment. However, single-subject data indicated that only two nine assessed demonstrated maintained suppression associated The positive response these occurred at higher level (100 mg/day) appeared to be related increased bioavailability 6-beta-naltrexol, active metabolite naltrexone. Four naltrexone-related reductions stereotypy, one subject increases adaptive material interaction. Given wealth previous research on self-injury, present findings are discussed relation those studies have found more results.
