摘要: The early bactericidal activity of the aminoglycoside paromomycin (aminosidine) in doses 7.5 and 15 mg/kg body weight was measured 22 patients with previously untreated smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis. fall log 10 CFU per milliliter sputum day during first 2 days treatment for 7 receiving a dosage mg/kg/day 0.066, standard deviation (SD) 0.216 confidence limits from −0.134 to 0.266, that 0.0924, an SD 0.140 0.015 0.170. difference between mean zero not significant 7.5-mg/kg dose group but 15-mg/kg ( t = 2.55, P 0.023). Since has no cross-resistance streptomycin greater toxicity than other aminoglycosides, these results suggest it potential substitute antituberculosis regimens may be particularly valuable addition drug armamentarium management multidrug-resistant
