A New Zealand digital library for computer science research

摘要: A large amount of computing literature has become available over the Internet, as university departments and research institutions have made their technical reports, preprints, theses electronically. Access to these items been limited, however, by difficulties involved in locating documents interest. We describe a proposal for New Zealand-based index computer science where reports themselves are located repositories that distributed world-wide. Our scheme is unique it based on indexing full text rather than document surrogates. The constructed so minimize network traffic local storage costs (of particular importance geographically isolated countries like Zealand, which incur high Internet costs). also will provide support bibliometric/scientometric studies our users.
