摘要: This work presents the lattice Boltzmann simulation of natural convection in an open ended square cavity subjected to partial heating. The size heater is half characteristic length and placed at middle location one vertical wall. Numerical simulations are performed for three different fluids industrial, scientific as well domestic field, viz., air (Pr = 0.71), dichloro-difluoro-methane 4.5) water 7). influence on heat hydrodynamic characteristics have been elucidated. It observed that isotherms become more confined toward partially heated portion wall with increase Prandtl number. transfer rate shows linear number, i.e., enclosure containing higher followed by R-12 refrigerant air. numerical results summarized empirical correlation relating Nusselt number Rayleigh numbers.
