摘要: Summary OBJECTIVE Adult patients with growth hormone deflciency are thought to be at higher risk of mortallty from cardiovascular disease. We therefore investlgated the effect recombinant human (rhGH) replacement therapy on fasting serum concentrations IIplds, lipoproteins and cholesterol precursors in adult deficient patients. DESIGN Double-blind placebo controlled trial. Patients were randomly allocated or rhGH (0·018 Ulkglday for 1 month followed by 0·036 Ufkglday month). PATIENTS Eighteen severe deficiency. MEASUREMENTS Fasting lipid, lipoprotein (lathosterol mevalonic acid) measured baseline after 2 months. RESULTS In treated group there was a significant fall (P 0·01 (1·30 ± 0·11 1·15 g/l) acid (P<0·05) (13·4 ±10·96 6·21 1·91 μg/l). There no changes triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein A1, (a) lathosterol concentrations. GH rise insulln inversely correlated wlth < 0·05), LDL 0·01) apolipoproteln B 0·01). any variables group. CONCLUSION conclude that may involved regulation lipid metabolism GHD is associated beneficial profiles. The reduction consistent up-regulation hepatic receptors caused this explain
