摘要: JC virus (JCV) is a polyomavirus infecting greater than 80% of the human population early in life. Replication this oligodendrocytes and astrocytes results fatal demyelinating disease progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) immunocompromised individuals, most notably acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) patients. Moreover, recent studies have pointed to association JCV with variety brain tumors, including medulloblastoma. The genome encodes for viral protein, large small T antigens newly discovered isoform T', at phase infection structural proteins VP1, VP2, VP3 late stage lytic cycle. In addition, gene responsible production nonstructural agnoprotein, whose function not fully understood. Here, we summarized some aspects structure function, its associated diseases, PML tumors.
