摘要: AIM We aimed to describe secular trends in the incidence of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) requiring renal replacement therapy (RRT) Japan, and assess effect population aging on ESKD. METHODS The national ESKD RRT was calculated using published data Japan's statistics. Age-standardized by direct standardization World Standard Population. average annual percentage change (APC) rates corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI) were computed for joinpoint regression analysis. To RRT, we used method proposed Bashir Esteve, which splits crude into three components: structure, size, age-independent risk. RESULTS (1983-1996) increased significantly both men (APC 6.33, CI: 5.39-7.29) women 5.25, 4.26-6.24). With a significant inflection point 1996, trend stable -0.16, -0.48 0.17) but decreased -1.98, -2.38 -1.59) from 1996 2016. main reason increase those with has changed; before risk contributor, after age structure higher proportion older individuals contributor. CONCLUSION number patients dramatically changed Japan during 1983 2016 period.
