Background  theory structures thought action as demonstrated by evidence improvement complex health-care settings. administrators selected Modelling Role-Modelling (MRM) for the theory-based goal their strategic plan. Methods  An research approach structured implementation MRM 1-year consultation 2001–2002. Results  Quality health improved according national assessment ratings, well patient satisfaction nurse satisfaction. Conclusions  capacity structure centre. Uniformity language valued nurses allied providers who wished learn holistic style practice. The processes contributed success.
