摘要: This paper reviews the state of art in Cr/sup 2+/ lasers and investigates advanced resonator designs for use with available materials pump to increase output power laser beyond 2-watt level. It is found that thin disk design most attractive option demonstration a 5-10 watt laser. The additional pumping optics required geometry are more than offset by mitigation thermal lensing efficient operation at powers unobtainable end-pumped rod designs.
