摘要: There is currently very little information on the survival of discards unwanted and unregulated catches invertebrates after stresses caused by capture. A great number invertebrate species form basis essential fish habitats for important fisheries resources such as hake, red mullet cuttlefish. Thus, data their discarding may help to interpret role these within benthic ecosystems. Furthermore, descriptor 6 Marine Strategy Framework Directive (EU 2008/56/E) foresees maintaining sea floor integrity at a level that ensures structure functions ecosystems are safeguarded, Article 7(d) Common Fisheries Policy Reg. 1380/2013) implementation management measures fishing with low impact marine ecosystem fishery resources. Survival measurements direct recovery tagged discarded not effective in bottom trawl fisheries, which alternative studies semi-quantitative obtained board prior can be considered appropriate mortality estimation. The present work assessed using assessment deck trawlers laboratory period 96 hours two Mediterranean areas (the Catalan coast Ligurian Northern Tyrrhenian seas). high showed percentage (>70%) both assessments. results used provide achieve higher levels specimens enhance productivity grounds increasing health
