摘要: Background Nasal bone fracture is a common injury, but its repair can be unexpectedly difficult. To date, intranasal gauze packing has been used to support the nasal in position and maintain contact between mucosa of septum cartilage. This packing, however, tendency shift, resulting an inflammatory response characterized by foul odor until removal, which detracts from comfort patient. We developed novel device, clip (NBC), provides satisfactory airway improved comfort. Methods A 1.2-mm Kirschner wire small piece hydrocolloid wound dressing are used. The single bent into double-curved shape, after each 2 tips curled with pliers. end passage covered protect mucosa. After reduction, external portion inserted on surface splint. Results NBC was applied 14 cases: 12 instances fresh fractures old fractures; there were 8 men 6 women; their mean age 19.9 years. Complications not observed; moreover, no patients exhibited problems during treatment. Conclusions advantages that all materials available operating room or outpatient department, it low cost, readily installable detachable, affords superior for effective splinting support, never disturbs airway, offers
