摘要: Bcl-2 protein plays an important role in inhibiting apoptosis and protecting normal neoplastic cells from toxicity. overexpression malignant tumors, on the other hand, may cause resistance against adjuvant treatment. Since there are subpopulations of patients with glioma that differ considerably their treatment benefit, it is to identify prognostic factors for outcome tailor protocols accordance specific biological features respective tumor. The present study aimed at investigating bcl-2 expression higher-grade (WHO grade III IV). was correlated clinical paraclinical parameters, evaluated univariate multivariate statistical models. In addition, bcl-2-overexpressing human culture were used modeling vivo findings importance tumor cytotoxic A group 86 investigated. Anaplastic astrocytoma (AA; WHO G III, n = 29) showed 48% cases, immunohistochemical positivity associated a significantly shorter survival time (p 0.0068). glioblastoma (GBM; IV, 57), 51% tumors positive, but did not correlate 0.39). Cox proportional hazards regression model, confirmed as negative parameter AA, GBM. overexpressing control cell clones (T98MG line) treated drugs carmustine (BCNU), paclitaxel, vincristine, doxorubicin. infected retrovirus carrying herpes-simplex-virus thymidine kinase gene (HSV-tk), then ganciclovir (GCV). increased all above drugs, also HSV-TK/GCV mediated therapy.
