摘要: Adrenal enkephalin and enkephalin-containing peptides were studied during postnatal development in normotensive (WKY) spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). The effect of chronic treatment with the ganglionic blocker chlorisondamine (5 mg/kg) was also assessed. Free immunoreactivity total immunoreactivity, as determined by enzymatic digestion large containing fragments, quantitated adrenal glands at 11 days 7, 16, 24 weeks age. Both free metenkephalin significantly diminished SHR when compared to WKY all ages tested. analysis chromatographic profile showed that displayed reduced levels high low molecular weight materials 16 age; however intermediate compounds these animals. Similar increased values for met-enkephalin found adrenals after treatment, which means relative increase larger than WKY; while concentration reached about half those presented WKY. These other results suggest basic alteration proenkephalin system may be due a genetic reduction levels. Otherwise, decrease could related changes nervous input gland.
