Effect of acupressure on nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

摘要: Summary This paper sought to determine the efficacy of acupressure application in pregnant women suffering from nausea, with or without associated vomiting, who were unable receive conventional medication for these symptoms. Sampling consisted complaining nausea vomiting. The study was controlled by Maternity and Child Hospital Istanbul between March 2004 2005. treatment group comprised 26 women; 25 control arm 24 assigned placebo arm. occurred over a 9-day period. During this time, applied bands P 6 point on days 4–6 receiving sham point, upper side their wrists. Results conclusion Acupressure would appear be effective symptom control, alleviation effects reducing symptoms vomiting during pregnancy.
