摘要: Abstract Previous studies have found cyclic differences in wheel running, extinction of conditioned avoidance responses, and open field behavior as a function the estrous cycle rodents. The purpose this study was to investigate possible sensory changes associated with estrus Female rats were monitored for behavioral physiological related cycle. Using method constant stimuli foot shock, jump thresholds determined during stages sexual receptivity (proestrus) nonreceptivity (metestrus). A significantly higher threshold demonstrated by animals proestrus compared metestrus. Possible explanations failure previous investigators find attenuated sensitivity are discussed.
