摘要: We studied the effects of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, donepezil and galantamine, an N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor blocker, memantine, on sleep-wake architecture in rats. Screw electrodes were chronically implanted into frontal parietal cortex for electroencephalography (EEG). EEG was recorded with a bio-potential amplifier 8 h from 09:30 to 17:30. Vibration monitor animal activity vibration measuring device. Sleep-wake states such as wake (W), slow-wave sleep (S) paradoxical or rapid eye movement (P), scored every 10 sec by experimenter. measured mean episode duration number determine which factor disturbance attributed to. Donepezil memantine showed significant increase total W decreases S P delta activity. Memantine increases latency motor Changes changes duration. Galantamine had little effect architecture. From these results, it is that galantamine may be anti-dementia drug does not cause disturbances causes severe disturbance.
