摘要: Important process parameters to optimize in electrokinetic soil remediation are those influencing time and power consumption since these directly affect the cost of a action. This work shows how (EKR) could be improved by implementing bipolar electrodes porous material. The EKR meant two improvements: (1) shorter migration pathway for contaminant, (2) an increased electrical conductivity system. All together proceeded faster with lower resistance than similar experiments but without electrodes. new design was tested on copper mine tailings different applied electric fields, times pre-treatment. results showed that removal from 8% (applying 20 V 8 days sulphuric acidified tailings) 42% when were implemented. Furthermore, this system acid addition prior better citric addition. In addition, applying too strong field (even electrodes) cause severe polarization (e.g. high resistance)
