摘要: Thiols (-SH groups) are the main form of reduced sulphur in plants present as protein thiols (cys residues) or low molecular weight thiols, most prominent is tripeptide glutathione (GSH). Due to redox properties thiol groups these compounds play important roles stress responses plants, since nearly always associated with an enhanced formation reactive oxygen species (ROS). Because its antioxidative properties, GSH directly involved protection cells from ROS damage and regeneration oxidized substrates. kept active state by reductase (GR). In following chapter, GR system natural abiotic stresses (drought, high temperatures, light, UV, salinity, anoxia), biotic (pathogen infection), air pollution impact discussed. The reviewed results show that plant resistance commonly correlated increased contents activities. Damage tissues often marked a breakdown system. Besides role protectant, thought cellular signalling sensing. Apart GSH, small (thioredoxins) essential for adjustment metabolism environmental conditions. Most recent suggest thioredoxins can be induced stress. regulation responses, e.g. inducing defense enzymes compounds,
