摘要: We identified recently a novel major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I locus in the rhesus monkey, Mamu-AG , which is expressed placenta and encodes molecules that share unique characteristics of human HLA-G. established locus-specific reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) ribonuclease protection assays to determine whether other monkey tissues. With an RT-PCR assay, mRNA was detected placenta, amniotic membranes, kidney, spleen, eye, brain, lung, spinal cord, liver occasionally heart, but undetectable lymph nodes, salivary glands, peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL), large small intestine, skeletal muscle or skin. Examination endocrine organs demonstrated presence transcripts pituitary, testes, ovary adrenal glands not pancreas thyroid. Quantitative analysis using assay highest level expression consistently while moderate few tissues (testis, adrenal) low all These results suggest mRNA, like for MHC Ib gene HLA-G, at high levels also has restricted low-level
