摘要: Polymyxin acts as an ultimate line of refuge against the severe infections by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative pathogens. This conventional idea is challenged dramatically recent discovery mobile colistin resistance gene (mcr-1) prevalent in food animals and human beings worldwide. More importantly, mcr-1 was found to be co-localized with other antibiotic genes, raising possibility that super-bugs pan-drug are emerging. However, little reported on genomes mcr-1-positive bacterial host reservoirs. Here we report genome sequencing three isolates Escherichia coli (E15004, E15015 E15017) define general features through analyses comparative genomics. Further genomic mining together sequence typing allowed us elucidate MCR-1-carrying E. E15017 belongs type ST648 coproduces extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL). Given fact has been known associate either New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase 1 or ESBL, our results highlighted epidemic clone multidrug resistances.
