摘要: Abstract High-resolution multidisciplinary investigation of key European loess-palaeosols profiles have demonstrated that loess sequences result from rapid and cyclic aeolian sedimentation which is reflected in variations grain size indexes correlated with Greenland ice-core dust records. This correlation suggests a global connection between North Atlantic west-European air masses. Herein, we present revised stratigraphy continuous high-resolution record grain-size, magnetic susceptibility organic carbon δ13C the famous Dolni Vestonice (DV) sequence Moravian region Czech Republic. A new set quartz OSL ages provides reliable accurate chronology sequence's main pedosedimentary events. The shows strongly contrasting numerous abrupt coarse-grained events, especially upper part ca 20–30 ka. time period also characterised by progressive coarsening deposits as already observed other western sequences. base DV exhibits an exceptionally well-preserved soil complex composed three chernozem horizons 5 silt layers (marker silts). is, at present, most complete environmental deposition belt for Weichselian Early-glacial spanning about 110 to 70 ka, allowing correlations various palaeoclimatic combined sedimentological palaeopedological observations lead conclusion this recorded all climatic events expressed GRIP Interstadials (GIS) 25 19.
