摘要: Microbial activities impact arsenic (As) transformation in mine tailings substantially, yet little is understood on the functional diversity of As metabolism genes. This study explored this issue using a metagenomic approach coupled by local BLASTN procedure established our recent studies. An assembled metagenome, recovered from hypersaline and sulfidic tailings, was screened for genes aioA, arrA, arsC arsM. done against databases built study. Putative detected metagenome included 11 arsM, 20 1 arrA full-length sequences. Together with rRNA-based phylogenetic profiling results, picture depicting microbial cycling to genus level obtained. It found that most dominant genera potentially harboured reduction and/or methylation. In particular, typical pyrite-eater present Thioalkalivibrio sp., harbour not only but also arrA. These results highlight unexpected especially considering extremely low species therein. The here has potential use guiding purposeful manipulation biogeochemistry tailings.
