摘要: Abstract Focusing on low-rise steel buildings supported by shallow isolated foundations dense silty sand, this study demonstrates the effect of uncertainty in soil parameters seismic response structures. Considering a set 20 ground motions representing 10% 50 years hazard level and concentrating peak base moment, shear interstory drift as demand variables interest, it is found that may result significant variability structures, especially when vertical factor safety low structure relatively stiff. Uncertainty friction angle results moment shear, while ratio to be virtually unaffected parameters. It also linear soil–structure-interaction (SSI) model will not able predict such under these motions.
