摘要: Objective To evaluate the effects of long-term administration finasteride on hirsutism score, basal gonadotropin, and androgen secretion in women with idiopathic hirsutism. Design Randomized single-blinded study. Patients Eighteen patients moderate-severe were recruited for Interventions Nine hirsute received 7.5 mg/d oral a period 9 months whereas other nine treated placebo. Hirsutism serum androgens, estrogen, sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) levels evaluated all before treatment every 3 during treatment. Results After 6 treatment, score improved significantly receiving finasteride, no significant modifications observed The side headache depression modest entity 1st month treatments, libido did not change. Serum LH, FSH, androstenedione, unbound T, DHEAS, E 2 , 17 α -hydroxyprogesterone, SHBG change therapy. Hirsute exhibited marked decrease dihydrotestosterone increase T from 3rd 6th respectively. Conclusion Finasteride decreased affected by few No modification was observed.
