摘要: Objectives To determine the efficacy of systemic corticosteroid therapy in treating enlarging, problematic cutaneous hemangiomas and to assess relationship dose response adverse effects. Design A quantitative systematic literature review was performed inclusion exclusion criteria were applied. Setting Patients treated primary care, referral centers, institutional practices. Most patients ambulatory, although some required hospitalization. Inclusion original case series with a minimum 5 corticosteroids. Exclusion being older than 2 years, receiving simultaneous other treatments, lost follow-up, or having insufficient information. Twenty-four met criteria; 10 remained (184 patients) after Intervention given mean prednisone equivalent daily 2.9 mg/kg (95% confidence interval [CI], 2.7-3.1 mg/kg) for 1.8 months CI, 1.5-2.2 months). Main Outcome Measures Response rebound rates dose-response effects–response relationships responders vs nonresponders. Results 84% 78%-89%; range, 60%-100%) 36% 29%-44%; 0%-65%). significant difference found between administered nonresponders ( P = .3). Conclusion Systemic treatment seems be effective infancy.
