摘要: Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a fatal immune-mediated disease of cats, induced by feline coronavirus (FCoV). A combination as yet poorly understood host and viral factors combine to cause minority FCoV-infected cats develop FIP. Clinicopathological features include fever, vasculitis, serositis, with or without effusions; all which indicate pro-inflammatory state cytokine release. As result, primary immune organs, well circulating leukocytes, have thus far been most interest in previous studies determine the likely sources these cytokines. Results suggested that tissues alone may not be sufficient induce observed inflammation. The current study therefore focussed on liver heart, organs demonstrated ability produce cytokines huge potential exacerbate inflammatory processes. IL-12:IL-10 ratio, marker system's balance, was skewed towards IL-12 Both were found upregulate mRNA expression triad IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α This amplifying step one missing links pathogenesis this enigmatic disease.
