摘要: In the northern hemisphere moose has been found to be suitable as a monitoring animal for presence of cadmium in environment. The metal accumulates mainly kidney and liver, with rate accumulation dependent on age possibly also gender. Collection tissue material often results sample selections disparate gender composition, which makes comparison between different regions studies difficult. A previous large scale investigation metals liver from Sweden provided Cd data (n = 3,817 3,802, respectively) further explore relation age/gender. Based local averages, individual deviations were analysed respect factors resulting an ‘ageing function’ each organ. addition, estimates pure variations obtained; standard correspond factor 1.7–1.9 concentration, indicates that 25–30 samples are needed give representative mean value (with RSD ≈10%). order able compare studies, all can transformed represent ‘standard moose’ along these lines was undertaken levels Alaska Sweden. Finally, relationship derived, providing at least rough values (or vice versa).
