摘要: Magnetization transfer (MT) imaging is a technique that indirectly assesses the status of hydrogen protons bounded to macromolecules such as lipid constituted axons myelin sheet in tissues. It especially useful for studying integrity white matter, which contains large amounts myelin. Using high resolution MT measurements, therefore, it possible detect demyelination or degeneration specific pathways spinal cord are somatotopically organized. Assessing crucial preservation neurologic function. In this chapter, basic principles and its experimental implementation will be described. Furthermore, comparison different acquisition data processing strategies given, together with recipes their practical details. The chapter conclude future development measurements including chemical exchange saturation transfer.
