摘要: Invasive functional evaluation of epicardial coronary stenoses is increasingly utilized in order to target treatment obstructive artery disease (CAD) ischemia-producing lesions. Fractional flow reserve (FFR) has been validated against noninvasive stress testing showing high accuracy for the detection stenoses, and its use currently recommended guidelines myocardial revascularization. However, an appropriate understanding basic principles assumptions leading FFR calculation necessary guide patient management. In this chapter, we describe principles, validation process, practicalities technique, with aim emphasizing some important aspects bear mind when using management patients CAD during daily clinical practice.
