Time dependence of magnetic flux penetration in Nb and Nb 3 Sn

摘要: We have investigated a single crystal sample of Nb 3 Sn at low frequencies, 100 Hz to 13 kHz, and found value B c1 = (45.6 ± 2.7)mT for the lower critical field extrapolated T \simeq 0 K 497 HZ. The field, as we defined here, was observed increase by 32 5% in going from 0.5 kHz. Hysteretic energy loss used determine fields decrease rapidly with frequency, dropping factor ten between Samples wire were pulsed rise times 2 μsec 158 8 mT, unchanged frequency values. had undetectable signal levels under similar pulse conditions (up 150 mT maximum field). Temperature dependence is consistent 1 - (T/T c )2behavior (18.0±0.1 sample).
