摘要: Adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) is a fatal malignancy caused by infection with human T-lymphotropic virus type-1 and there no accepted curative therapy for ATL. We searched biological active substances the prevention treatment of ATL from several species herbs. The cell growth-inhibitory activity apoptosis assay showed that carnosol, which an ingredient contained in rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), induced cells. Next, to investigate apoptosis-inducing mechanism we applied proteomic analysis using fluorescent two-dimensional differential gel electrophoresis mass spectrometry. expression reductases, enzymes glycolytic pathway, pentose phosphate pathway was increased carnosol-treated cells, compared untreated These results suggested carnosol affected redox status Further, quantitative glutathione, plays central role maintenance intracellular status, indicated decrease glutathione N-acetyl-L-cystein, precursor canceled efficiency carnosol. From these results, it cells depletion glutathione.
