摘要: Abstract Background: The adverse health effects of biomass fuel exposure (BFE) is complex and widespread. According to our knowledge, the interstitial lung disease due BFE not clear in literature. Objective: In this descriptive crossectional study, main objective was assess on respiratory system. Methods: Patient group included non-smoker 21 woman control 22 woman. High resolution computed tomographic (HRCT) examinations were made with supin prone positions two groups. spirometric measurements, including diffusion capacity at rest for carbon monoxide, single breath (DLCO), also made. Results: It found that caused obstructive restrictive impairments. prevalence fibrotic bands, peribronchovascular thickenings, nodular radio opacities, curvilinear densities high 7, 5, 16 times higher than group, respectively. There a significant positive correlation between forced vital (FVC), expiratory volume first second (FEV 1 ), FEV /FVC, flow during middle half (FEF25-75), DLCO volumetric HRCT slices deep expiration position. Conclusions: We think that, findings BFE, pose special situation it can be named "biomass lung".
