摘要: The aim of the study was to determine if a culturally sensitive smoking prevention program would have short-term impacts on intentions among Aboriginal children. Two schools with high enrollment were selected for study. A grade 4 classroom in one school randomly assigned receive program. second received standard delivered this jurisdiction. Children each tested pre- and post-intervention measure attitude changes about smoking. There significant reduction smoke children who small overall sample size precluded direct comparison efficacy programs. present findings suggest that has been adapted may reduce future students. Further research is needed extent which programs respect long-standing use tobacco cultural traditions be more effective than reaching youth.
