摘要: Two methanogenic cultures were enriched from acidic peat soil using a growth medium buffered to c. pH 5. One culture, 6A, was obtained after incubation with H(2)/CO(2), whereas culture NTA derived 10(-4) dilution of untreated into modified medium. 16S rRNA gene clone libraries each contained one methanogen and two bacterial sequences. The sequences 99% identical other belonged the novel "R-10/Fen cluster" family Methanomicrobiales, their mcrA 96% identical. sequence 6A Bacteroidetes showed identity enrichments German Russian bogs. Firmicutes thick rod-shaped citrate-utilizing organism isolated numbers which decreased when Ti (III) chelator switched citrate nitrilotriacetate. Bacterial clones clustered in Delta- Betaproteobacteria. Both thin rods, presumably methanogens, as predominant morphotype, represent significant advance characterization acidiphilic R-10 methanogens.
