摘要: Abstract Humid environment often creates various problems in fine powder processing and frequently poses a substantial threat to the final product quality. The present study focuses on improvement of bulk behavior under humid using surface modification. Corn starch was modified Aerosil R972 grade hydrophobic nano-silica through dry coating. It found that flow packing properties uncoated deteriorated at elevated relative humidity (RH) conditions with prominent changes observed above 60% RH. Also, low RH (30%), increased interparticle frictional forces owing diminished lubricating moisture layer resulted decreased powder. In contrast, surface-modified exhibited resistance such detrimental effects loss gain high respectively. showed modification powders helps reduce cohesion prevents its behavior.
