User satisfaction with public and private dental services for different age groups in Brazil

摘要: This article aimed to describe the levels of user satisfaction in different age groups and study association between types dental services a representative sample Brazilians. is based on Brazilian Oral Health Survey, which evaluated health adolescents, adults older 177 cities. The outcome variable was satisfaction, related last visit, five-level Likert-type scale. main exposure type service (public service, private plan or insurance). independent variables were DMFT (decay, missing filled teeth); pain intensity past six months; reason for visit; perceived need treatment; frequency use services; sex; equivalent income; educational level. An ordered logistic regression analysis performed separately each group. Few participants as bad very (4.3% 6.1% 4.1% adults). In crude model, public associated with lower than plans all groups. However, after adjusting by covariates, this remained only who showed compared plans. general, Brazilians are satisfied services, but, among satisfaction. Public may be focused issues children, adults, not adolescent audience, has specific demands.
