摘要: Abstract We previously demonstrated that prostaglandin E 2 (PGE) directly inhibits F 2α (PGF)-induced regression of individual pig corpora lutea (CL) in a dose dependent manner. The present experiments were conducted to 1) characterize and compare uterine secretion PGE PGF during the estrous cycle early pregnancy 2) evaluate local effect conceptus on associated CL function unilaterally pregnant pigs. In Experiment 1, utero-ovarian venous blood samples collected from two nonpregnant gilts at 3-h intervals day 10 through 16 (first estrus or mating = 0) for quantitation secretion. 2, (n=4) made catheters placed bilaterally determine if differences and/or might account known luteotrophic/antiluteolytic gravid horn ipsilateral ovary. Thereafter, both declined basal levels where they pregnancy. unilateral 2), concentration nongravid horns was similar ( P > 0.8). contrast, greater
