摘要: The aim of this study was to determine the distribution hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotypes in Australian patients with and identify factors associated particular genotypes. Serum isolates HCV-RNA were genotyped using a commercial oligonucleotide hybridization (line probe) assay. Relationships between demographic factors, mode HCV transmission genotype assessed by logistic regression analysis. Among 463 C, 425 tested positive for single identified 420 cases. patients' places birth Australia or New Zealand (62%), Asia (13%), Europe (12%), Mediterranean (6%), Middle East (6%) other countries ( 95% Australian-born patients, but only 33% Asian Mediterranean-born patients. Logistic analysis indicated that region risk factor (intravenous drug use not) would allow 98% type 4 cases 76% 1b be correctly. In summary, birth, patterns migration over time interact multi-racial community like Australia.
