Magnetic Retention and Bar-Clip Attachment for Implant- Retained Auricular Prostheses: A Comparative Analysis

摘要: Retention systems for implant-retained auricular prostheses using either bar-clip attachments with 2 or 3 clips retention magnets were wear tested (insertion and removal cycles) to simulate clinical periods of use. Measurements taken at intervals 540 cycles, which represents a period use approximately 6 months, up 3,240 cycles. Assessments retentive force carried out before, during, after the test. Statistical analysis indicated that provided higher than magnetic systems. The attachment showed significant loss testing (P < .05), suggesting lower durability shorter life. by remained stronger all other tested. At end test, very little but still less systems, under simulation despite initially provided.
