摘要: Background: Xenogeneic soft tissue substitutes are currently being investigated as an alternative to subepithelial connective grafts (CTG) with the intention avoid postoperative morbidity associated autologous grafting. The aim of present study was volumetrically evaluate effectiveness and mid-long-term stability a porcine-derived collagen matrix (PDCM) (Mucoderm®, Botiss gmbh, Berlin, Germany) in increasing volume at buccal aspect molar implant sites. Methods: Periodontally healthy non-smoking patients single tooth gap area were selected for prospective case series. All sites had bucco-oral bone dimension least 8 mm demonstrated horizontal alveolar defect. A wide diameter placed under elevated flap PDCM applied. primary outcome linear increase profile (BSP) within well-defined interest. This performed designated software (SMOP; Swissmeda AG, Zurich, Switzerland) on basis superimposed digitalized casts taken before surgery (T0), immediately after (T1), three months (T2), one year (T3) years (T4). Secondary outcomes process deficiency clinical parameters. Results: Fourteen out 15 treated attended three-year re-assessment (four females; mean age 51.4 years). Mean BSP T1 1.53 (p = 0.001). showed substantial resorption T2 (1.02 or 66.7%) Thereafter, 0.66 gain observed 0.030), possibly due installation permanent crown displacing tissues aspect. resulted 1.17 (76.5%) T4. Alveolar significantly reduced over time 0.004). However, 50% still slight (6/14) obvious (1/14) termination. Implants conditions. Conclusions: marked during early stages healing. Due thickening tissues, 76.5% initial could be maintained period. Half failed show perfect convexity
