摘要: Study objectives To evaluate epoch by agreement in sleep stage assignment between scorers from different laboratories. Design N/A. Methods 62 NPSGs were selected for analysis 3 centers (38 diagnostic studies disordered breathing [SDB], 10 during CPAP titration, and 14 subjects with no related complaints or pathology). The recording montage consisted of at least 2 EEG leads, left right EOG a submental EMG. Scoring was performed manually 5 experienced technologists. No scorer had knowledge any other scorers' results. Agreement tabulated both distribution on an basis the entire data set normal SDB subsets. Measurements results mean all records 73% (range 67-82%). Agreements higher subset (mean 76%, range 65-85%) than 71%, 65-78%). There significant variability pairs scorers. Overall, 75% epochs 4 96% Conclusions level varies scorers, diagnosis, record. laboratories is lower what can be maintained within same laboratory. This warrants caution when comparing scored separate patients supports generally held view that fragmentation makes application R&K rules less reliable.
